The Autumn of 2003 saw the beginnings of a new Fourth Degree Assembly, Father Berenard A. Spoelker Assembly 2834. The Assembly is part of the Msgr. Newman Council [4665] Knights of Columbus and Fr. Spoelker, who was Pastor of St. Helen's Parish at the time, was also the Council's first Chaplain. It is in his honor Msgr. Newman Council chose to name its new Fourth Degree Assembly.
On December 8, 2003, the new Assembly held its first meeting and began working out the logistics of forming a new Assembly.

Assembly Meetings will be held on Third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

The 3rd Sunday of every month, Fr. Spoelker Assembly will be sponsoring a Pork Chop Dinner from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Msgr. Newman Council Hall - 2 chop dinner: $7.50 per adult - $4.50 for children under 12 years of age for a 1 chop dinner..
